KumKum Tea House

When Elisheva made Aliyah from the UK, she brought with her a love of English tea culture — the warmth, ritual, and quiet elegance of the tea house experience. Out of this vision, she created Kumkum Tea House, a unique spot in Baka, Jerusalem designed to feel like a small oasis of calm and tradition.

In the wake of October 7, Kumkum became more than a business — it became a refuge. Guests are welcomed into a space that slows the pace of the city, offering delicate teas, soft corners, and a sense of belonging.

Through photography and storytelling, I highlighted the charm of this English-inspired tea ritual in the heart of Israel: the cozy atmosphere, the details of the tea service, and Elisheva herself — a bridge between her roots in the UK and her new life in Israel. The result is a visual narrative of comfort, resilience, and timeless tradition.
